I am trying to schedule a Windows 10 computer to shutdown at a certain time using 'create a basic task'. I am able to achieve this on a Windows 7 computer, but I am having problems on Windows Are there any subtle differences, I seem to be missing something. To set up shutdown schedule using a Task Scheduler you may follow the below steps and check if it helps:.
Start Task Scheduler. You can start it by going to the Start Menu typing S chedule in the Search bar and choosing Schedule tasks. Enter the N ame for your Task , for example Shutdown.
Now choose When do you want the task to start. Now enter the T ime and date when the task will be executed. Next choose Start a program. Then click Open.
